[Introduction]
This product is used to dilute and liquefy the samples to be tested. Sputum is highly viscous and inconvenient for direct testing. So in clinical practice, sputum samples need liquefaction before testing to release mucin and to reduce the viscosity of the sputum. This product mainly uses substances containing sulfhydryl (-SH) to break the main components of mucin in sputum that causes viscosity, thereby reducing the viscosity of sputum and liquefying sputum.

1. The sample type for this product: sputum
2. Proper collection, transport, storage, and processing of specimens are the basic requirements for detection.
[Operating Procedure]
1. Take out the Sputum Liquefying Agent and invert upside down to mix well, then let it return to the room temperature;
2. Take 1 new Centrifuge Tube and add equal volumes of the sample diluent and the sputum sample, close the cap and invert upside down to mix well;
3. Leave it at room temperature or 37°C for 10-30min and invert upside down to mix well every 2-3mins during the period;
4. Inching centrifugation at 6000 rpm to centrifuge the liquid on the tube wall to the bottom of the tube;
5. The liquid above can be used for the next step of detection.
