Advantage:
Nest nylon flocked swabs provide optimum specimen collection because of their ability to collect more specimen at the collection site and to more rapidly release the entire sample specimen.

ITM (Inactivation Transport Medium)
Advantage:
1.ITM medium serves to both inactivate viruses and prevent nucleic acid degradation.
2.Room temperature transport
3.Samples can be stored at room temperature for 20 days.
4.Used for collection, storage and transportation of viruses, chlamydiae, mycoplasma and ureaplasma.
VTM (Viral Transport Medium)
Advantage:
1.Used for collection, storage and transportation of human nasopharyngeal virus samples.
2.Unused VTM medium can be transported at room temperature.
3.Sample transport temperature requirement & storage time: 2 to 4 C°, 48h.
4.VTM medium has two types of color: clear and clear pink.
Normal Saline Medium
Advantage:
1.Non-toxic, safe and effective for home collection.
2.Produced according to the FDA standard.
3.Room temperature for transportation and storage.
4.After collection the sample transportation requirement: room temperature within 48h.
5.Used for collection, storage and transportation of viruses, chlamydiae, mycoplasma and ureaplasma.
6.Validation: 2 x LoD (low positives) and 10 x LoD (high positives) virus samples for 56 hours ( 40℃ for 12 hours, then 32℃ for 42 hours) in this product can be detected by RT-PCR.
ATM (Amies Transport Medium)
Features:
1.Simplify specimen collection, transport and processing.
2.Fewer samples need to be collected offering a more comfortable experience.
3.Better preservation ability: the colony number of samples was reduced by no more than 1.5log10 after preservation for 48h.
Application:
NEST disposable sampler (AMIES) is a collection and transport system which is used for aerobic, anaerobic and fastidious bacteria.In addition, NEST disposable sampler (AMIES) can be used for nucleic acid test of bacteria.
Storage and Transport Temperature Requirement
Before using:
AMIES solution can be stored in room temperature (5 to 25 degree centigrade) for twelve months.
After using:
sample could maintain viability for up to 48 hours at room or refrigerator temperature. (Neisseria gonorrhoeae survival at 24 hours per CLSI standard).
UTM (Universal Transport Media)
Features:
1.Simplify specimen collection, transport and processing;
2.Used for collection, storage and transportation of viruses, bacteria, chlamydiae, mycoplasma and
ureaplasma. The specimen transported in the universal transport media can be used in the laboratory to perform pathogen isolation and detection;
3.Disposable use.
Storage and Transport Temperature Requirement
This product could be transported at ambient temperature. Ensure samples collected are store between 2 degrees and 8 degrees Celsius, and transport to the laboratory within 48 hours. Please
store the samples at minus 70 degrees Celsius if cannot transport to the laboratory within 48 hours. Please examine, inoculate or separate the sample as soon as possible after being sent to the laboratory. Those that can be inoculated or separated within 48 hours can be stored at 4 degrees Celsius. Those that cannot be inoculated or separated within 48 hours should be stored at minus 70 degrees Celsius.
Quick Guide
Collect:
Collect the sample with the swab. Avoid touching the swab applicator below the breakpoint.
Oropharyngeal Swab & Capture Cap Swab:
Gently insert swab into back of the throat and tonsillar area.
Rub the swab over both tonsillar pillars and the posterior oropharynx, avoid touching the tongue, teeth and gums.
Nasopharyngeal Swab:
With the patient seated, if possible, tilt the head back 70 degrees.
Gently insert swab into the nostril along the septum floor of the nose extending straight back until the posterior nasopharynx is reached (distance from nostrils to external opening of
ear).
Rotate the swab several times while the swab is in contact with the nasopharyngeal wall.
Snap:
Remove cap from the vial and insert the swab to the bottom of the vial.
Holding the vial away from face, grasp the end of swab shaft and bend at a 180 degree angle to break at the breakpoint.
Screw the cap on tightly to prevent leakage.
